Why A Pediatric Dentist?
Pediatric dentists are the pediatricians of dentistry. A pediatric dentist has two years specialty training following dental school and limits their practice to treating children and teens, as well as special needs patients. Pediatric dentists are primary and specialty oral care providers for infants and children through adolescence, including those with special health care needs. Dr. Kara and her staff love children and are specially trained to put them at ease. At Czarkowski Pediatric Dentistry, we teach your children the proper way to take care of their teeth and just as importantly, they learn, through experience, that going to the dentist can be fun.

Orthodontics for Children
Orthodontics is the specialty of dentistry focused on the diagnosis and treatment of dental and associated facial irregularities. The results of orthodontic treatment can be dramatic — beautiful smiles, improved dental health and an enhanced quality of life for many people of all ages.

Orthodontics
Removable appliances may be used to move selected teeth, to hold selected teeth in place, to influence growth of the jaws, and to influence tooth eruption. They are often used in conjunction with fixed appliances.

Adolescence and Oral Care
There is evidence that demonstrates how periodontal disease may increase during adolescence due to lack of motivation to practice oral hygiene. This may be further compounded by hormonal changes.
